Grand Opening Celebration

MORRISVILLE, NC - On October 8, 2006, ExperienceOne Homes presented a celebration unlike any the Triangle had ever seen before: the Grand Opening Celebration at Kitts Creek, the most spectacular new community in the Triangle. The event highlighted Kitts Creek's traditional atmosphere of "Small Town America" with a Norman Rockwell-inspired experience filled with old-fashioned family fun. The highly anticipated grand opening turned out to be one of the most talked-about showcases of the Raleigh-Wake County area's 2006 Parade Of Homes.

The afternoon of events and activities was hosted by Marvelless Mark, the award-winning "Ambassador of Celebration," along with G105 DJ Mike Morse. Live music was performed by popular beach music band The Shades, as well as the D-Jazz Band and a strolling barbershop quartet. The event's diverse entertainment offerings featured a professional kite flying show and an assortment of classic childhood games, such as marbles, checkers, jacks, hopscotch, jump rope and Twister, with adults and children equally invited to join in. Kids also enjoyed face painting, temporary tattoos, storytellers, crafts and more.

To wrap up the day's festivities, one of the largest and most spectacular fireworks displays ever staged in the Triangle area lit up the skies over Kitts Creek in dazzling color. It was a memorable event that clearly announced the arrival of Kitts Creek and the community's genuine celebration of small town America that extends far beyond the grand opening.
